1. Who we are

"ailegs" refers to the ailegs.io website and its free online tools. When this document says "we" or "us", it means the operators of ailegs.io.

2. Your permission to use ailegs

We grant you a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use ailegs for personal, educational, and commercial purposes. No signup, no payment, no watermarks.

You own the files you run through our tools and any output they produce. We claim no rights over your content.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use ailegs to process content you don't have rights to
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to disrupt our infrastructure
• Use ailegs for illegal activity — child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, malware distribution, or material inciting violence
• Automate tool access at a scale that affects service for other users (we offer an API — talk to us instead)
• Impersonate another person, or misrepresent your affiliation with ailegs

We may block or throttle any IP or account that violates these rules. We'll also cooperate with law enforcement when presented with valid legal process.

4. Intellectual property

The ailegs name, logo, tool UIs, and written content (blog posts, guides) are our copyright. You may quote short passages with attribution. You may not copy the brand or UI wholesale.

Open-source components we use are licensed separately — their licenses are respected in our source and binaries.

5. No warranty (this part is important)

ailegs is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. We don't promise the site will be available 24/7, that tools will produce perfect output every time, or that future versions will be backwards-compatible.

For important work, always keep a backup of your originals. We are not liable for data loss resulting from tool use.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ailegs and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Total aggregate liability for any direct damages is capped at USD 100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (which is zero, since ailegs is free).

7. Termination

You can stop using ailegs at any time. We can terminate or suspend access at our discretion, especially for violations of Section 3. Upon termination, provisions that by their nature should survive (ownership, liability, disputes) will survive.

8. Changes to these terms

We'll update the "last updated" date at the top when this page changes. Your continued use of ailegs after changes means you accept the new terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute not resolvable by good-faith negotiation will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction.
